About Jonathan L. Zane

Jonathan L. Zane completed his Bachelor of Architecture Degree at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo June 15, 1974.  He then received his certification to practice Architecture from the California State Board of Architectural Examiners April 29, 1980, License Number C-11,046.  Jon Zane began practicing Architecture as Sigler-Zane Architecture in Redlands, California. In 1989, he split off to become Jonathan L. Zane Architecture.  In November, 1996 he was certified as a member of the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (N.C.A.R.B.).  He Registered with the Nevada State Board of Architecture in January, 1997 and with the Arizona State Board of Technical Registration June, 2001. In 2006 Jonathan L. Zane was registered with the Washington State Board for Architects and the Oregon Board of Architect Examiners.

Jonathan L. Zane's work experience includes numerous commercial and industrial projects as well as residential. He has designed shopping centers, office buildings and industrial complexes both in tilt-up concrete construction as well as wood frame construction. He has experience with steel construction, as well, including several one and two-storey structures.

Jonathan L. Zane's residential projects include several multi-family projects as well as numerous custom residences and tracts in California and Arizona. He has designed a resort hunting lodge in Idaho which has 18 guest rooms and is constructed of logs, as well as a 3-story hotel in Hesperia, Ca.

Jonathan L. Zane has worked on several terminals and distribution facilities with national trucking firms and has designed numerous community centers and other recreational facilities. Additionally, he has been the Architect of Record for several fire stations and other public buildings for the County of San Bernardino and other local municipalities. He designed both main fire stations in Lake Arrowhead, Ca., as well as ones in Colton, Devore and San Bernardino County.

Jonathan L. Zane has designed several private schools, including nursery schools and a private high school. He has been involved with several convalescent hospital expansions as well as expansion of San Gorgonio Hospital in Banning, Ca. and has successfully worked with the Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development.

Jonathan L. Zane served as Construction Manager on several projects in San Bernardino and Riverside Counties, working from inception of the project to completion of construction. He acted as Owner-Builder on his own custom home in Lake Arrowhead and another in Colton, Ca.

Jonathan L. Zane holds a Community College Teaching Credential and has taught Architecture and related subjects at both junior college and university levels. Many of the associates who work with him are former students.
